PSR: Physicians for Social Responsibility
PHR: Physicians for Human Rights
The Stanford chapter of PSR and PHR seeks to improve awareness about public health and social justice issues, both global and domestic, in the context of being a medical student and future doctor. Activities include forums, two elective lecture series, and conferences on a wide variety of topics. Areas addressed include domestic violence, gun violence, environmental health, the uninsured, poverty, torture, policy issues, and many others.
