Psychiatry Interest Group
The Psychiatry Student Interest Group (PsySig) works closely with the faculty at Stanford's Psychiatry Department to host events such as lunchtime lectures and larger panel presentations that are intended to help orient students to the field of psychiatry. These events focus on career opportunities, applying to residency, and current topics in Psychiatry research. PsySig serves to help medical students learn about and attend relevant academic conferences as well as discover research and work experiences during the academic year and the summer. Interested students may also like to participate in Stanford's Klingenstein Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for medical students (please contact Dr. Shashank Joshi - svjoshi[at]stanford.edu), and/or Arbor's Mental Health Clinic (arbor.stanford.edu). For more information, contact Brian Anderson (bta5ht[at]stanford.edu) or Jane Whitney (janew1[at]stanford.edu).
