StEMS: Stanford Emergency Medical Service
This group was formed this past year as a joint venture among medical students, undergrads, and graduate students. The group provides pre-hospital care and non-transporting medical standby services at major campus events (football games, convocations, etc.) at the level of the EMT-Basic. Any Stanford student with a current EMT-Basic certification (or higher) and CPR certification is encouraged to apply. The group also runs an EMT-B certification course through the Department of Surgery/Division of Emergency Medicine.
